Blogger's Choice Top 3 America's Best Dance Crews

“America’s Best Dance Crew” national begun last Thursday February 18, and I want to focus on the crews, who in my opinion, are the best. Most of the crews gave great performances, but there are some crews who gave amazing performances. Each group in ABDC is unique from the past crew that has entered in the competition of all 5 seasons. These crew that I will soon mention stands out from many crews that are competing in season 5 of “America’s Best Dance Crew”.

Here are my top 3 crews that I believe are going far in the competition (hopefully):

- Blueprint Cru

- Poreotics

- Static Noyze

BLUEPRINT CRU

I believe I talk a lot about this crew; however, I’m not the only one who thinks this crew is amazing. There is a lot of buzz of this group because they are from Canada who is competing in an American show. Hopefully, this doesn’t prevent them from getting eliminated in the show. What can I say about Blueprint Cru? Canadian or not, they have amazing dancers in the crew. They are sharp, clean, clever, unique, and amazing. Also, their concepts, ideas, or missions are great. I have a lot of respect for this dance crew. PLUS they are from OH CANADA! Here is a video of Blueprint Cru performance in nationals.

POREOTICS

Popping and Robots = Poreotics

This crew will be one of the most entertaining crews in the show. They are great on what they do best, which is being funny. Dance and comedy is what Poreotics is all about. I love this crew because of couple of reasons. First, they can dance. Second, they are hilarious. Third, they danced to Taylor Swift. Lastly, I applaud them for their creativity. Crews who experiment and take risk on their art are amazing in my book. I am excited to see what they will do in the next performances. Check out Poreotics’ performance in nationals.

STATIC NOZYE

This crew is my cup of tea, and I can watch them all day (if I can). Static Noyze is about hip-hop and contemporary. Being a huge fan of dancing, I love contemporary dance. Each member of the crew has different “flavours” of dance. I believe Static Noyze has the complete package, which is diversity, creativity, passion, emotion, and theatrical. The crew wants to tell a story through their movements, and this is really getting my attention. Lastly, an Asian dancer, Suzette Sagisi, is one of the best female dancer I’ve seen on "America’s Best Dance Crew". She inspires me to dance, and be different from everyone around me. To see Static Nozye dancing in national, watch the video below.

That's it for this post, and I just want to say a few last words. When it comes to voting for "America's Best Dance Crew", vote according to who gave the best performance overall. I wish every crew the best of luck, and vote everyone at

Blueprint Cru Nationals!

In my previous blog, I mentioned a certain Canadian crew, who made it to "America’s Best Dance Crew." Blueprint crew performed an amazing routine last week on MTV that had everyone in America surprised. Here is a video of their performance.

If you want to see the whole second episode go to http://www.muchmusic.com/tv/abdc/.

Blueprint Cru is on point and they show many different styles that they can contribute to the show. I agree with most of the judges about their thoughts on the crew; however, Omarion doesn’t know what he is talking about. Omarion is a great dancer, but he needs to broaden his persepectives when it comes to other different styles of dance, but the most important thing is that our Canadian crew made it to the Nationals. I predict that Blueprint Crew will make it far in "America’s Best Dance Crew" and I’m excited for their next performances.

Let me talk a little bit about Blueprint crew. They want to achieve perfection in every movement they make, they don’t believe in stunts and tricks, they believe in moving as one. Not only are they amazing dancers, they are great people as well. Here is a video of an interview with the crew.

To come to a conclusion, I want to congratulate BLUEPRINT CRU for making it to the nationals, and for making history in the dance world. I will end off this blog with a last video of one of the crew’s older performances in "Monsters of Hip Hop 2007."

Is Canada ready for America's Best Dance Crew?

Guess what? America's Best Dance Crew is back for season five; so let me give you a little summary of this season so far. This season, there are 15 new dance crews from the nation ready to compete to be America's Best Dance Crew 2010. The dance standards are higher than before because we've witnessed many amazing crews in the previous seasons, such as, JabbaWockeeZ, Kabba Modern, Quest Crew, and Beat Freaks.

The list of crews is as follow:

South

  • Jungle Boogie
  • Ghost
  • X-treme Motion
  • Royal Flush
  • Swagger Crew

East

  • Blueprint Cru
  • Saltare
  • Legendary Seven
  • Static Noyze
  • DraZtik

West

  • Blended Projekt
  • BreakEFX
  • Heavy Impact
  • Poreotics
  • Hype 5.0

America’s Best Dance Crew (ABDC) premiered last Thursday on MTV (in Canada on Sunday on MuchMusic), and only the south region performed live. Ghost and X-treme Motion are now out of the competition, which means the three south crews are in the next round. If you want to watch the episode go http://www.muchmusic.com/tv/abdc/.

The east region is performing at this moment on MTV, and there is one crew that everyone is talking about. Blueprint Cru is from Montreal, Canada that is ready to show how Canadians dance. If you see familiar faces in the crew, two members were in So You Think You Can Dance Canada (Vincent and Nicolas). Blueprint Cru is well known for their sharpness and perfection. I got excited when I found out they are in the show, I believe they are going to go far in the competition. This is the dance crew to watch for in ABDC. Check out the video of Blueprint’s audition to ABDC.
